Bio
Seiji Shirane is an Assistant Professor of History at The City College of New York (CUNY). His teaching and research interests include Japan's empire, colonial Taiwan, and Japanese-Chinese relations. He received degrees in History from Yale University (BA, 2004) and Princeton University (PhD, 2014), and his research has received support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Fulbright, Social Science Research Council, and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
